Chalfant Series 500 Rail provides effective seal between your building and rail cars at your loading dock. Designed for the wide variety of rail cars that can arrive at your dock.

How It Works
When a rail car has stopped at its final position at a railway loading dock, the Chalfant Series 500 Rail Shelter is extended to the rail car, forming an effective seal. After loading/unloading is completed, the Chalfant Series 500 Rail Shelter is retracted and put into a stored position. The rail car can depart as soon as Chalfant Series 500 Rail Shelters are all in a stored position to prevent any damage to the unit.

Rail Car Service Range
A properly specified Chalfant Series 500 Standard will have a ideal door service range from 15’0” high and 15’0” wide, sealing up to 84” at your rail shipping dock.
