 CHALFANT Series 400 Soft Shelter
Chalfant Series 400 Soft Shelter provides effective seal between
your building and truck at your loading dock. Designed for the wide
variety of trucks that can arrive at your dock.
How It Works
As a truck backs into position, the Series 400 Soft Shelter has a
unique ability to yield upon impact without damage to backing trucks
while creating an effective seal. The truck is stopped by properly selected
loading dock bumpers to suit the application. Typically, full access
is provided by the Series 700 Flex to the back of the truck. When
loading/unloading is completed at the dock and the truck departs, your
Chalfant Series 400 Soft Shelter unit returns to its original shape
in preparation for the next truck.
Door Service Size
Ideal door size up to 12’ x 12’. Recommended seal past
bumper min. 12”
Truck Service Range
A properly specified Chalfant Series 400 Soft Shelter will have
a ideal service range from 11’0” to 13’6”
high and 8’0” to 8’6” wide, sealing the
wide variety of over-the-road trucks at your dock.
